The WEN Story
The Women Entrepreneurs Network, Northshore is a Women-Owned, women-driven business development community of heart-centered and like-minded women thriving in camaraderie, connection, and collaboration, it’s what makes us unique!
How WEN began …
In March of 2019 long before the pandemic, WEN was created out of a thirst for business knowledge, connection, and WINE! Yes, WINE! After locating a trainer for the monthly in-person professional social media/marketing workshops; the location would play an important role in developing the culture the founder was looking for. Having been an independent wine consultant who traveled to various wineries, she knew the appeal of wine tastings. Hence, WEN paired up with Total Wine and More to utilize their tasting room and offered complimentary wine tastings and small bites.
How WEN has evolved…
Since the pandemic, WEN adapted by offering a membership-based community that includes virtual networking, masterminds, and business development workshops on various business topics for the community to stay informed and connected.
Events being offered…
- Business Development Virtual workshops – 1st and 3rd Wednesday via Zoom
- “SPARK” Virtual Networking: A networking GAME on 2nd & 4th Wednesdays
- “Pow-HER Hour’ members-only virtual masterminds -weekly on Mondays!
- Lunch and Learns: where members shine
What’s the plan Post-pandemic…
A hybrid experience continuing to offer the current virtual events as well as a monthly in-person local event as before.
Women Entrepreneurs Network seeks to bridge the entrepreneurial gap of working for yourself, not by yourself. By offering a fun, support-focused community who are interested in attaining business skills while building connections and camaraderie.
Meet Our Founder
Rhonda Medeiros Giarratana
Wife, Mother, Sister, Friend, Wine Enthusiast, Entrepreneur
I’ve lived on the Northshore my whole life, It’s where I’m raising my boys with my husband. We love to travel, play board games, go for hikes and play Frisbee with our golden-doodle. My interest in becoming an entrepreneur came about from working at and watching my father, manage Peabody Chrysler Plymouth into a multi-million dollar business. I went to school at Bishop Fenwick and Endicott College. At the height of my career, I was a Computer Help Desk Manager with Compucom onsite at Nortel Networks. It wasn’t until after my firstborn that I had the opportunity to indulge my independent spirit and set out on an entrepreneur’s journey. That brought about the founding of three separate endeavors. Sugar Me Sweet Natural Skin Care, Sugar Me Sweet Events, and now WEN. I’ve worn all the hats and appreciate how challenging and rewarding being your own boss can be. Helping other women entrepreneurs and all women in business attain the skills to succeed is an honor and privilege I get to be apart of now with the Women Entrepreneurs Network!
Come experience WEN first hand. Join the next networking or workshop event to experience the difference!
